Jeklar ("the app") is operated by Artur Artsabliuk ("we", "I"). This page says what the app collects, why, who processes it, and how to delete it. We do not sell data, show ads, or run third-party tracking.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and the display name you choose. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the email address and name that provider shares with us (with Apple you can choose to hide your email; we then get a private relay address).
- Training profile: what you tell us in the questionnaire — experience, goals, typical session length, units, and any constraints or injuries you choose to enter. Constraints and injuries are health-related information; you decide whether to enter them, and they are used only to shape your sessions.
- Gyms you add: name, location (a map pin and address for public gyms), description, and photos you upload of the equipment.
- Proof of ownership: if you claim a gym as its owner, the owner's name and the images you submit (an invoice, a rental agreement). Only you and our reviewers can see them. Once a decision is made the images are deleted; we keep a cryptographic hash of each file and the decision as an audit record.
- Apple Health (optional, iPhone only): only if you turn it on in Account → Apple Health. Jeklar then reads your body weight and your heart rate, and saves finished sessions to Health as strength-training workouts. Your latest body weight is stored on our servers as your profile weight, the same field you can type yourself. Heart rate stays on your phone and is never sent to us. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with anyone, including the AI provider. You can turn it off in the app or in the Health app at any time.
- Apple Watch: the watch app shows your current session and sends the sets you log to your phone. It sends nothing to us directly.
- Sessions and logs: the sessions the app generates for you and the sets you log (reps, load, time, effort).
- Purchases: Apple tells us which subscription you hold and its renewal dates, identified by an Apple transaction id. We never see your card or Apple ID password.
- Technical: the requests the app makes to our servers, with your account id, so that limits and costs can be counted. No advertising identifiers, no location tracking (the map is used only while you place a pin).
How it is used
To generate sessions, your training profile, the chosen gym's equipment list and a digest of your recent logs are sent to an AI model; when you ask the app to read a gym's equipment from photos, those photos are sent too. Nothing else leaves our servers. Everything else is used to run the app: show your history and progress, apply your plan's limits, review gym submissions, and handle subscriptions.
Who processes it
- Supabase hosts the database, file storage and server functions, in the European Union (Frankfurt).
- Anthropic provides the AI model that writes sessions and reads equipment photos. It receives only what the previous section lists, under terms that do not allow training on it.
- Apple handles Sign in with Apple, Apple Health on your device, subscriptions and payments, and maps.
- Google handles Sign in with Google, if you choose it. It tells us your email address and name.
- An email delivery provider sends account emails, such as a password reset code, to your address. It receives your email address and the message, nothing else.
Retention and deletion
Your data stays until you delete your account, in the app under Account → Delete account. That removes the account and everything tied to it. If you signed in with Apple, it also revokes Jeklar's access to your Apple ID. Usage metering rows survive without any link to you. Ownership proof images are deleted as soon as a reviewer decides, as described above.
Your rights
You can see and change your profile in the app, export nothing yet (ask us and we will send it), and delete everything yourself. For anything else, email arthur.artsabliuk@gmail.com. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Children
Jeklar is not for people under 16.
